roles

At Brock University, I helped shape how the Recreation and Leisure Council connected with students. I used historical event data, student perspectives and collaboration with the recreation team to develop programming that students would like to participate in. My role was to connect those pieces by bringing together audience insight, event development, marketing and partnership-building.

3. Expanding Reach Through Partnership
I helped build a relationship between Brock University and Niagara College’s recreation departments to expand student access to Brock events and increase awareness and enrollment in Brock’s cross-program pathway.
The collaboration created new opportunities for Niagara College students to participate while extending the reach of Brock’s programming beyond its existing audience.
The Outcome
The work contributed to a broader and more intentional mix of student experiences, consistent promotion across email and social media, and a new pathway for cross-campus participation.
This was one of my earliest leadership roles, but the approach still defines how I work today: understand the audience, use evidence to guide the strategy, build the right relationships and create experiences people genuinely want to join.
